Adjust

Went into Dr.Styrt's today. He and the Chainsaw had a conversation with my molds in hand and decided on one last adjustment before the big day. When that big day is, we have yet to learn. But it's nice to know that they are being proactive about things. It means that I've got four weeks to convince my ENT to see me ASAP so that by the time the teeth are where they want to be, the insurance approval is where I want it to be.
Like, in my back pocket. Sucka.

Hi, I don't know you but I just had my BSSO done a couple weeks ago. I have some unused Zip n' Squeezes that you can have. Can I mail them to you? I would totally do that.

Hey thanks for keeping us all updated with your status. I was curious what kind of Healthnet plan you have? Is it an HMO or PPO?

If HMO, was the surgeon in your medical group? Thanks!

Anon,
I have an HMO. I can only assume my surgeon is in network because I didn't really have a choice in choosing him. I just got referred to him by my ENT whom I was referred to by my Primary Care Physician. And because I've never seen a bill from him.

Good luck! I feel your pain with the last minute adjustments and insurance shenanigans! I just had my surgery a few days ago and the insurance people were still requesting things twenty minutes prior to my surgery. They have had my file open on this pre-approval for months now! So frustrating. But don't give up! It will be worth it. If you have any questions about the surgery, just ask. The whole thing is very fresh on my mind. :) Good luck to you.
